Dermaroller Therapy is a natural skin rejuvenation treatment that utilises advanced skinneedling
that induces the release of growth factors to stimulate the collagen production and prompts regeneration and repair. The result of this regeneration is a reduction of fines lines & wrinkles whilst creating smoother, brighter, healthier, younger-looking skin.
Dermaroller skin needling provides results similar to Laser Resurfacing, Fraxel® but with minimal or virtually no downtime.
- Restore firmness and tightness to flaccid skin
- Natural collagen production for a year (in average)
- Smooth away wrinkles, lines, folds and crow’s feet
- Improves skin texture
- Reduces the appearance of scars
- Lightens pigmentation marks
- Tightens enlarged pores
- Helps appearance of sun damage and age spots
- Smooths under-eye bags
For optimum results, as well as the benefits from the needling itself, before needling we apply growth factor and retinol serums for the ultimate stimulation to the dermis. A new, sterile titanium, gold plated roller is used per treatment.
The Dermaroller goes over your skin, the tiny needles pierce the skin causing a pin-prick bleeding, breaking the connections around the scarring, allowing the new blood cells to repair any damage causing the scar to flatten and reduce as the skin naturally renews.
Please note – you will feel a slight prickling sensation and the skin will start to feel warm. We are looking for redness and blood spotting from the skin as this shows the treatment is working. This mild trauma also stimulates the collagen and elastin in the skin promoting the production of new skin cells which will help to strengthen, plump and tighten the skin. This helps to refine fine lines and wrinkles, and improve the overall complexion of the skin. Therefore the treatment is suitable for all skin types. @Cold gauze compresses will be applied to sooth your skin and calming creams will be applied.
After the procedure your body will start to naturally repair and regenerate the skin, working below the surface in the dermis. This takes time as new collagen and elastin is formed, new skin cells are generated and blood supply is enhanced. It can take up to 6 weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a gradual and long lasting enhancement.
These microscopic wounds stimulate new collagen deposition which may last for up to a year. It is normally recommended that you have 3 treatments with approximately six weeks between them (as new collagen/growth factor stimulation takes around this time to form), This treatment can be repeated every 6 weeks with no limit. For ultimate results, combine with peels/dermabrasion every 3 weeks in between so skin is being treated from outside in as well as from inside out.
